The Impending return of OO, third installment.

It’s all my fault.

We started talking about OO here, and now he also wants to talk, nonstop.

It is evident that Otmar Oduber started his political campaign, and his first strategy is bashing MinTino, Ursell M. Arends — minister di Integridad, Naturalesa, Transporte y Cuido di Grandinan.

And it is interesting how he comes out swinging at MinTino, while complimenting his cousin MinTour, whom we condemned for staying quiet on the Embassy Suites beach issue.

OO states that MinTino should remember that government is a continuation, and he should have gone along with the foundation laid by him, OO, when in office, and continue with what has been approved.

We should all be pleased that MinTino is a free thinker, and a law-abiding citizen. And this is the place to mention, that another case was filed by the same Aruba Birdlife Conservation, ABC, against MinPres, for illegally re-issuing this permit.  It is a LAR case. So there is still a lot going on. The fat lady did not sing.

For OO to claim that MinTino is not doing his job, is utter nonsense. He is actually doing his job, in this instance – in other areas we still want him to do more — and we should all wish our other ministers follow his example: Be diligent, follow the law.

Why do you think a judge issued a fine of 25 million if Natura NV misbehaves? For kicks and giggles? To be cute. How often do we hear of a 25 million fine? Never. So this is serious. And OO should know better that it is written in the natuurbeschermingverordening and that the aanlegvergunning cannot be given in violation of another law.

He was personally involved in writing that unpronounceable legislation.

Yes, I got some legal help here because the terms are seriously challenging. What they means is that OO knows the law that one permit, necessitates the other, and he banks on our obvious ignorance, to buy his version.

OO is right that government is a continuation, but we’ve had some rotten apples. We needn’t go where they went.

OO should accept the judge ruled, and he ruled in favor of ABC — no one is above the law.

With all due respect, if OO is fighting on behalf of Natura NV, it’s worth a lot of money for the resort, we hope he doesn’t bank on it.
