The green Marina Hotel team and the white Ocean Suites line-up kicked the ball energetically around the Renaissance Festival Plaza, with 11 players, some professional, some amateur per team.

The game unfolded with seven players on the field per squad, delivering two rounds of twenty-minute adrenaline-pumping soccer.

Executive housekeeper Fanny O’Neal and supervisor Saskia Croes were the organizers of the tournament, a first of its kind on the island, inspired by the recent World Cup games.

Special thanks to Orfelicia and Ana who diligently sewed Fifa-style numbers on the uniforms.

All fan enjoyed Frans’ ongoing commentary and Michael’s skillful referee calls, assisted by linesmen Gino and Diego of the Housekeeping Department.

Snacks and refreshments were served at the end of the workout, which was an extra-special encounter with all the goals, scores and drama associated with headline-grabbing international matches.
