Special celebrations are hosted four times a year in honor of the resort’s high-achieving associates, at La Cabana Beach Resort & Casino.
The appreciation and acknowledgment of hard work and dedication are core value, reiterated at the quarterly events held in the ballroom, over delicious food, with all award-nominees and members of management in attendance.
The animated third-quarter celebration was organized by the department of Human Resources and the Food & Beverage team, who put on a memorable afternoon together.
The occasion served to distinguish associates of the month, for July, August and September, Supervisors of the Quarter, and the Team of the Quarter, 2023.
Member of management shared words of appreciation and encouragement, addressing all nominees and their respective department heads.
Nominees for July included Miguel Martinez, Engineering; Molly McFarlane, Housekeeping, and winner Sheryll D’Arsie, PBX.
Nominees for August included Dwayne Ras, Loss Prevention; Errel Tromp, Engineering; Maritza Nunez, Housekeeping; Billy Maxi, Pool & Beach and winner Rowald Vasquez, Bell Services.
Nominees for September included Vicente Guerrero, Food & Beverage; Roger Perez, Engineering; Virginia de Lange, Housekeeping and winner Daphne Wouters, Front Office.
Nominees for Supervisor of the Third Quarter 2023 included Samir Hernandez, Loss Prevention; Martha Nuboer, Food & Beverage; Manuel Ramos, Engineering and winner Juan Marquez, Housekeeping.
Nominees for the winning team included Loss Prevention, but the diligent associates at the Pool & Beach department out-performed all.
All winners received a handsome plaque, a dinner voucher to the Islander Grill, in-house reward stars and a cash gift through payroll! All nominees receive a certificate and in-house reward stars. The winning team receive some funds to spend as a group, on an activity.
General Manager Joe Najjar delivered additional inspirational thoughts, thanking his associates for putting their best foot forward, and actively taking part in the resort’s success.
