Twister Café hosts an Italian culinary experience

Twister Café offered a trip to Italy, no airline tickets required, as Chef Linda Pool and her partner Annie served a delightful menu of Italian-inspired specialties in their own individual style.

The menu was paired with classic Italian wines, carefully picked by wine artist Clive Faustin, from the rich and varied portfolio of Romar Trading.

The evening started off with a flute of chilled Champagne, and was nicely paced including a light and delicious Zucchini Pappardelle salad. The savory and rich soup was followed by the main course Osso Buco Milanese, paired with creamy Risotto. The dessert featured the world’s best sweet-ending, Zabaglione with fresh berries.

Both Linda and Annie visited each of their guests throughout dinner promoting attention to service and personal care.  Linda, the former Chez Matilda executive chef, enjoys a solid following of food lovers. She has been cooking at Twister Café, with her partner Annie, in the quaint location parallel to the San Francisco church on Dominicanessenstraat 10, in Oranjestad.

The evening was much enjoyed and reasonably price, in the signature style of Twister café.

Long a favorite among locals, for a good game of billiard and a wonderful Dutch ambience, Twister served dinner Monday to Saturday from 6-10.30 PM. During the last weekend of every month a culinary 5-course dinner is offered for a very attractive price, with a non-smoking option on Sunday. Reservations for these evenings are recommended, they are popular and seating is limited.
