Friends of Gaston Verlaan and Willeke Volgers gathered in the garden of Wilhelminastraat 64, the former La Fondue Aruba to congratulate Gaston & Willeke on the day they took over the charming old Cunucu house in the heart of Oranjestad in order to transform it into the Suikertuin, the Sugar Garden, an intimate breakfast and lunch establishment. Gaston known as the owner & operator of the Arubiana Inn and Willeke, of Delifrance fame, joined their creativity and their vast knowledge of food & beverage to deliver a cozy eatery designed to please those working in town.
We wish them luck and we promise to come taste their mix & match sandwiches, soups, and salads, read their newspapers and magazines, after June 1st, anytime between the crack of dawn and sunset.
