One of the island’s most famous restaurants just received the good news that it has achieved the coveted AAA, Four-Diamond rating for 2009, for the sixth consecutive year.
And for that reason, the pre-service get-together at the Sunset Grille, Radisson Aruba Resort Casino & Spa was especially lively when Food & Beverage Manager Rachel Noordermeer had the pleasure to address her team of chefs, cooks, servers and supervisors.
The mood was indeed festive, as Dining Room Manager Ronni Maduro presented his team with the 6th recognition, making the Sunset Grille one of just two recipients on the island. “When you receive the award for six consecutive years,” explains Noordermeer, “you know it’s no accident. While the first time might be the result of a ‘good night’ at the restaurant as the planets align to inspire great food and flawless service, the second time indicates it is indeed true that every night is a good night at the Sunset Grille serving the best food on the planet and preparing it just right. And then when it happens four more time, you know, that the annual evaluation reflects the fact that the Sunset Grille is a premier establishment that provides the ultimate in quality and service.”

The AAA restaurant rating system lends the seal of approval to those who set out to earn the distinction. At the Sunset Grille dozens of people have spent thousands of hours refining the restaurant’s product to meet the hospitality standards and exceed them.
The Sunset Grille’s AAA Four-Diamond award complements the restaurant’s Wine Spectator’s award, confirming the establishment’s total commitment to memorable food paired with excellent wines.
In 2007, the restaurant also received the Caribbean Travel & Life magazine Best Restaurant of the Caribbean award. The restaurant also regularly attains the highest Freeman Inspection & Mobile Travel Guide scores for Food & Beverage services in Aruba, often combining them with internal awards for the entire Radisson chain worldwide.
