Oranjestad — Father and son duo, co-owners and co-directors of the iStore in Aruba, Milo J. Croes and Jouel M. Croes, have been authorized Apple computer resellers here, since 1994.
In 2009 they also became service providers. Then when in October of 2011 Apple iStores started opening worldwide, they came on board immediately with Aruba’s own iStore, catering to the local and tourist market.
The business grew fast and required an expansion the following year. It then re-opened in 2012 as a beautifully designed iStore featuring a stylish two story retail space, conceived by partner Jouel Croes of Croes Architecture Studio N.V. The store became home to the Apple Specialists, servicing and educating the community at the original address, Ponton 67B, unit 5.
In 2015, the visionary father & son duo decided to open a similar store on the main street, demonstrating their total confidence in Aruba’s economy and their trust in the street’s Renaissance and in the promising retail possibilities which presented themselves with the renovation of downtown Oranjestad.
The main street store carries the complete Apple product line, including desktops, portables, laptops, iPods, iPads and accessories. The store boasts a Genius Bar, an inventory room, and an educational center where clients may learn how to use the technology, and familiarize themselves with its amazing range of capabilities.
The high-tech looking store with simple architecture, large glass panes and natural light, is a reflection of the Apple philosophy marrying function with contemporary aesthetics. Equipped with a state of the art security system, and graced with convenient parking, the store will be expecting clients 9am to 6pm every day.
Aruba’s second iStore, Apple Authorized Reseller/Apple Authorized Service Provider is located on Caya Betico Croes 49. The Grand Opening on Saturday featured the music of fantastic Grupo Di Betico.
Congratulations to the Croes family on the realization of their dream!
