The Rotary Club made generous donations to five local ‘for-kids’ organizations, this week. The donations were handed out at Windows on Aruba Restaurant in the presence of the New England Patriots Cheerleaders, who are staying at Mega Divi. The checks were given to Percy Phelipa, representing the YMCA in San Nicholas, to Dynia Abath-Muller, representing Children’s Home Imeldahof, to Dennis Conrades, representing the Special Olympics, to Dr Richard Visser representing Extreme H Sports and to Albert Tromp representing Little League Baseball.
The Rotarians who raised the fund in the community for their special projects were pleased with the results of their year-long drive and thanked Divi Links and Windows on Aruba for their hospitality. Managing Director Alex Nieuwmeyer reports that the Cheerleaders are shooting their 2010 calendar against the beaches of his hotels on Eagle Beach, and that their visit was arranged via Divi’s corporate headquarters.
