The red nose parade was fabulously fun

The third annual Flora Market caminata organized by the Clown Doctors shaped up as a carnival-like happening as the clowns and their supporters attempted to set a world record for the famed Guinness Book of World Records for having as many people as possible wearing red clowns’ noses, for ten uninterrupted minutes, this past Sunday.

Fun was had by many locals who came out to walk 6 km and help raise funds for the Clown Doctors who entertain ailing children in the hospital and visit the elderly in the old folk’s homes bringing laughter and human contact to the infirm. The clowns also visit children with special needs and the handicapped in government institutions.

The not for profit organization depends on donations for its continued existence and stages a number of fund raisers every year.

Pictured here some famous local faces, wearing red noses. The walk culminated with a parking lot event starring the fantastic Youth Extreme. The walk was animated by Metroplis disco and by radio personality Ruben Garcia and E-Z Party Solutions.
