Destination weddings are becoming increasingly popular and for good reasons. Holding a celebration in an exotic location is one of the most unique ways to share a special life changing event with close friends and family members, turning a wedding into a week long of memories from the rehearsal dinner to the wedding ceremony, dinner-dance party or post-wedding brunch.
Aware of what industry experts are saying the Radisson Aruba Resort Casino & Spa just recruited a dedicated wedding specialist, Lisa Dammerman, with over ten years of experience. Apparently in the midst of a recession a new survey indicates that the international destination wedding market will grow from $13 billion last year to $16 billion in 2009. Weddings at home tend to be larger and costlier, while weddings overseas allow the couple more control on the invitation list and on the production.
With over 50% of the US international destination market going to the Caribbean, Aruba maintains a strong presence, blessed by gorgeous beaches and talented florists, caterers and decorators.
Working with Lisa will make all the difference, says Mylene Marques, Associate Director of Group Sales, reducing the stress of dealing with vendors across long distance phone lines, and navigating the decor and catering fields effortlessly to produce and seamless true dream function at the Radisson, she adds.
