The Radisson Aruba Resort Spa & Casino hosts a General Meeting

General Meeting HR crew Colleagues and members of management of the Radisson Aruba Resort Spa & Casino congregated in the Grand Caribbean Ballroom for an informative and interactive General Meeting flawlessly orchestrated by the Department of Human Resources.

Having welcomed all colleagues the HR crew started the screening of an in-house fun feature film appropriately named the Heart of Radisson Aruba, starring the resort associates. The HR crew also unveiled a beautiful, brand new, printed tee-shirt boasting “I am the Heart of Radisson Aruba Resort, Casino & Spa” on the front and the company’s “Yes, I Can!” core value slogan on the back.

The gathering also delivered Carlson company updates among them the news that President & CEO Marilyn Carlson Nelson has retired yet remained the Chairman of the Board. Her successor as Carlson Companies President & CEO, Hubert Joly, was recently appointed along with the new VP of Operations for the property in Aruba, Norman Rafelson

During the General Meeting colleagues were introduce to the resort’s new name and logo, having officially incorporated the spa into the resort’s name.

The meeting also reviewed the changes in management, along with promotions and new hires congratulating Rachel Noordermeer as the new Director of Food and Beverage, Narshall Gibbs as the new Rooms Manager, Charlene Nectar as the new Assistant Human Resources Director, Ludwina Vasquez, as the new Laundry Manager, Racquel Lesire as the new Reservations Manager, Ckaren Cater as the new Activities Manager, Maarten Smeets as the new Sunset Grille Sous Chef, Jessica Roberts as the new Asst Executive Housekeeper, Glenn Faro as the new Assistant Controller, Tasha Agana as the new Sr Resort Assistant Manager and Martin Middeldorp as the new Resort Assistant Manager.

The HR crew also reported on a number of citation achieved by the resort among them the Radisson’s President Award, Special Mention from the World Childhood Foundation, and most importantly the AAA Four-Diamond rating.

During the meeting colleagues were reminded of the objectives for 2008, as well as environmental goals which were entrusted to the new resort Green Team Committee.

Towards the end of the meeting, the Financial Spanshot was followed by a Food & Beverage Update and the Human Resources Recap as the informative session concluded..

The organizers, Zoraida Rampart, Charlene Nectar, Angelique Croes, Mijoli Sophia, Eugenille Perez, Shanella Henry, Lourdes Geerman, Lisette Webb, Rugia Siliee, Sandra Kock, Regenique Noel y Eleazer Clemencia & Banquets Team, did an outstanding job reported Nectar, who besides being the Assistant Human Resources Director also serves as Lead Brand Champion at the resort.
