The Links Ladies Host the San Nicholas Boys

Mixed Scramble at the Links

The Links Ladies hosted the San Nicholas Boys for a friendly two person scramble, mixing the uptown girls with the sunrise-side boys for an afternoon of great golf at Divi Links.

The resulting tournament was a lot of fun as members of the San Nicholas Golf Club arrived at Divi Links to meet the Links Ladies.

Carola Pinxter and Karel won first place, followed by Claudia Samy with Ivan and Rosana Peterson with Juny.

“Ten pairs played, ten pairs had a blast,” reports Tabitha Fecunda, Divi Links’ PR executive.

While Ivan hit the longest drive, Ronny was closest to the pin.

The Aruba Golf Club, in San Nicolas, is the oldest golf course on the island, while Divi Links is the newest. The first one was founded in 1939, while Divi Links, a 9-hole golf course, opened in 2004 with a gala party and charity golf tournament, attended by Prince Albert of Monaco, Prince Pieter Christiaan of the Netherlands, and Aruba’s Prime Minister. While Divi Links is lush and green and surrounded by luxurious private villas and tropical lagoons, the San Nicholas course is a unique desert golf course.
