Noord — Staff members at the Caribbean Palm Village Resort congregated for an early morning award ceremony to praise and applaud their peers going the Extra Mile during the first quarter of the year, among them Elsa Croes, Juanita Dorothal, and Hernando Ospina of the Housekeeping Department, Elvis Tromp of the Administration, Kenjah Howell, Gwendolyne Correa and Yahaira Kuiperi of the Front Desk Department, Sadia Fura of Reservations, and Gregory Sanchez of the Maintenance Department.
Interim General Manager Astrid Muller explains that the Extra Mile award was designed for employees who undertake special initiatives and projects and complete them on their own, working diligently and applying themselves in service of the company, above and beyond their daily duties.
Gregory Sanchez who received an Extra Mile award was also voted Employee of the First Quarter. With a solid maintenance and engineering background Gregory recently joined the resort and immediately distinguished himself with his professional and knowledgeable conduct.
Also nominated to Employee of the First Quarter Marilna Kuiperi, Reservations, Rakeshkoemar Soekhai, and Agnes Rodriguez Housekeeping, Jean Merisier, Maintenance and Adriana Tromp, Administration.
