The new facility, for members and guests only, features True Fitness Technology, Inc. equipment, including two treadmills, two elliptical bikes, two upright bikes, two recumbent bikes and one three-arm workout station. Fitness Warehouse Inc. is the True distributor for the new Cardio Fitness Center, with locations in Aruba, St Maarten, St Kitts, St Lucia, and Tortola.

Named to manage the new facility is Carlos Centeno, an Aruban fitness instructor and gymnastics choreographer. Carlos, a Venezuelan national, is founder of “Coreobicos de Venezuela” and “Club Puerto Azul Cheerleaders,” and is recognized as a Gymnastics Choreographer of the Year by The Venezuelan Sports Institute.

He first came to Aruba in 1990 for the “Aruba International Dance Festival” and returned in 1996 to represent Venezuela at the “First Aruba Aerobics Funk Convention.” In 1990 he participated in the Aruban National Body Building Championship, finishing 2nd in his category and received the award of “Best Poser.”

In 2003, Carlos joined the resort as Aerobics and Aquaerobics Instructor, offering guests an entertaining beginning to each vacation day on our beautiful island.

One of the first persons to use the new facility was bodybuilder Gino Barrios, one of the resort’s timeshare sales representatives, who was named Mr. Aruba three times. He also was a runner-up in the Mr. Universe world contest in 2007.
