On July 9th the Pancake Gallery Foundation kicks off year 3 of the educational Arts program Art Rules Aruba with a Super Pancake Brunch @Atelier 89, provided by Restaurant Rembrandt!
Presented by RBC Royal Bank, Art Rules Aruba will launch its third year with over 200 aspiring teens between 12-23, who all have the strong desire to cultivate their artistic talents and skills.
Disciplines offered this year are Photography, Fashion, Film, Dance, DJ, Street Art, Music & Performance and Theater, taught by local and international professionals sharing their knowledge and experience with the youth of Aruba.
Art Rules Aruba would not have been made possible without the support of local businesses that have all chipped in to invest in the program. This year the project also received a special donation from the Aruba Way Foundation who donated 50 scholarships for 50 kids to participate in the program for free!
A unique donation for the Pancake Gallery and Art Rules Aruba as this kind of donation has not been made before. The Aruba Way Foundation returns for the 2nd time as a sponsor, making a point of supporting and encouraging education for the youth, especially to those whom may be disenfranchised or simply are not able to afford participating in the program.
With its support and through its success Art Rules Aruba has clearly become much more than a workshop program. It’s founders, the Pancake Gallery have created a strong support network for Aruba’s teens, providing them the platform to express themselves in an artistic way and also creatively tackling social issues amongst youngsters by motivating them to work hard and be the best they can be.
Other supporters of Art Rules Aruba who all believe in encouraging arts education on the Island are third time returning partners and sponsor Aruba Airport Authority and Playa Linda. With them Art Rules Aruba has also been made possible with the help of Europcar, Red Sail Sports, Brown Lawyers, Coca Cola, Subway, KulturA, Salon, AIFF, Maduro Travel, Marriott, Coldwell Bankers, Marketing plus and Casa Del Mar whom all have been consistent supporters of the program.
