A group of friends met for dinner at the private suite of Ines and Guillermo Valencia, just recently. Dinner was an elaborate joint-production between two terrific foodies Ines Valencia and Executive Chef Bernard Fantoli of the Holiday Inn Sunspree.
Guests of honor for the evening were banker Bill Carson, his wife Joy and son Justin.
While the parental unit, Bill & Joy, will be leaving the island after 20 years to live in Canada and Florida, depending on the season, Justin who works on the staff of the Holiday Inn Sunspree will be staying here, also in charge of the family cats.
Banker Bill Carson, the just-retired General Managing Director of the Caribbean Mercantile Bank, remains on the board as director, and will be coming back to visit Aruba and his many friends, at least four times a year, he promises.
Over the amazing array of dessert-tapas some fun Bill & Joy stories were exchanged. Alas, they cannot be repeated for the newspaper.
