An intense Barista training has been quietly taking place in anticipation for the opening of the first Starbucks Coffee in Aruba on November 28 during the Island Extravaganza Event. Manager Vivian Tromp and her hand-picked crew of future Baristas are experiencing the Starbucks certification, covering a variety of subjects as presented in the Starbucks Passport, from first impression to an overview of the Starbucks Experience.
Starbucks coffee corporate training program leaves nothing to chance, and the new Baristas are diligently studying about customer care in relations to coffee, as it is outlined in their 100 level training manual for licensed stores.
Among subjects discussed, the food case, the espresso bar, the cold beverages, coffee & tea tastings, and in general terms the coffee industry, growing, processing, roasting, packaging, brewing and tasting, and the different coffee growing regions of the world including Latin American, Africa, Arabia, Asia and the Pacific.
The countdown for the opening is on. Starbuck coffee will feature about 14 seats inside and 32 outside on the terrace, and will be open from 6 a.m. to 10 p.m., with a full assortment of signature coffees, pastries, cookies, light sandwiches and tasty bites, beside home coffee making equipment and accessories. Make sure to pass by as of November 28 at the Renaissance Marketplace
