Spearheaded by the Housekeeping and the Engineering Departments, Sponsor-A-Mile launched a comprehensive and informative Earth Week Program at the resort.
At 8 am on Wednesday members of Housekeeping and Engineering fanned all over Eagle Beach to scour the resort’s mile road-sides clean. The initiative also launched a loaded agenda for Earth week which is peppered with lectures about the island’s flora and fauna, our water, traditional Aruban architecture, and green environmental practices.
During the next upcoming months the resort will undertake the 8th annual recycled art competition, and observe the World Red Cross Day, Family Day, Global Engineering Day, World Ocean Day, and the 16th annual Aruba Reef Care.
There will be lectures on health and wellbeing, on recycling, on turtle preservation and Bio-diesel, ozone layer preservation and more Sponsor-A-Mile clean ups.
