South Beach Lounge offers chic outdoor ambiance in the heart of Palm Beach

SBL Opening (29)An evening stroll through the Palm Beach high-rise hotel area reveals significant changes over the past five years, as any regular island visitor may observe.

Friday, July 3rd, witnessed a welcome and refreshing addition to the South Beach Centre, across from the Radisson Aruba Resort Casino & Spa, with the opening of the South Beach Lounge, by the same group soon to bring you the adjacent House of Japan.

This charming open air lounge was conceived with the thought of utilizing some of Aruba’s greatest assets; the gentle trade-winds and a breathtaking night sky. Both contributed to a unique island ambiance of this gathering place with a trendy South Beach, Miami, feel.

Cozy dining tables and comfy couches allow patrons to linger over a variety of island concoctions or their favorite exotic martini while enjoying a selection of tapas, which delectably compliment the setting and cocktail menu. Local entrepreneur Kanaan Broud, who developed the concept bar reports that sushi and other oriental specialties can also be ordered from the House of Japan when it opens. All dishes may be enjoyed in the al fresco terrace of the South Beach Lounge.

For those who need to stay informed flat screen plasma TVs will carry the hottest sporting events, and major games and competitions will also be projected on the main wall of the courtyard, making it the ideal place to relax, snack, and keep up with favorite teams. Further enhancing the menu of activities, concerts and other private subscription broadcasts, planned in the future as centerpieces for exclusive evening programs.

Baroud proudly welcomed island media and local glitterati to his delightful new hotspot, on Friday, for the soft-opening party where invitees enjoyed bottomless flutes of French champagne and special hors d’hoeuvres, served under the watchful eye of the beautiful Fatima Baroud.

Guests socialized and munched on delicious coconut shrimp, kibbe & humus, gourmet sushi, and mini grilled kebabs mixing middle-eastern and far-eastern nibbles with great enthusiasm.

South Beach Lounge was warmly welcomed to the neighborhood and even the downpour could not put a damper on the festivities, as guests wanted to linger on at the bar, forever.

South Beach Lounge opens daily at 4:00 p.m. till midnight, Mondays through Fridays, and till the wee hours on weekends. Refresh at the bar after work, or following a long day at the beach, then stroll along Palm Beach’s busy strip, or shop at the South Beach Centre boutiques, come back for a bite or delicious dinner, and watch the world go by. South Beach Lounge offers a front row seat!
