The artistic and highly sensual experience of Havana will soon be available here with the launch of Mr. Jazz. An exclusive jazz club and steak house, Mr. Jazz is the unique collaboration of three men who all share a deep passion for the art of jazz and the celebration of the senses.
Chucho Valdes, a world-renowned jazz pianist from Havana, Cuba, developed the Mr. Jazz concept with the intention to share the rich artistic history of Cuba with others through music and dance. Vittorio Muscariello brings his 30 years of master chef experience to the venture by providing an innovative and eclectic menu offering both Cuban-style and international dishes. Dan Oduber, a famed architect and real estate developer contributes his elegant sense of style and tropical sophistication.
Guests will truly experience the charms of old Havana when they enter the club’s sprawling mansion, outfitted with early twentieth-century colonial-style furnishings, a cozy balcony cigar lounge, and a starlit ceiling that grants the illusion of sitting in a real open-air patio with the clear sky of a tropical Cuban night overhead. Revelers will have the opportunity to sip exotic cocktails featuring select Cuban rums and sample a variety of tasty tapas while soaking up the house band’s repertoire of Dixieland, big band, contemporary, Latin, and Afro-Cuban jazz music.
Stoked appetites can be satisfied with delicious grade-A steaks, fresh fish and other seafood bounty, unique soups and salads, and some typical Cuban dishes, all rounded out by decadent desserts. Fine wines will be offered by the glass or bottle. The finest-quality Cuban and international cigars can be enjoyed with excellent brandy and cognac selections.
Guests who still have steam will be encouraged to top off the night with salsa dancing. A live concert with the man himself, Chucho Valdes, and invited local and international musicians will mark the club’s first special event.
