An intimate gathering over cocktails at the Radisson Aruba Resort Casino & Spa brought a number of movers and shakers together, in preparation for the official announcement of Aruba as host destination for SITE International Conference 2009.
The cocktail reception at the Radisson’s Mira Solo Martini Bar was hosted by Mary Donohue, Director of Group Sales. Mary was joined by Executive Chef Matt Boland, Director of Resort Operations, Scott Derrickson, and Director of Sales Mylene Marques, who just came on board at the resort, but is a well-established, local, hospitality executive.
The representatives of the Society of Incentive Travel Executives Freddy Muller, SITE Chairman International Conference 2009 and Heather Nash, SITE Director of Events & Industry Relations, were introduced to their local team members, their Aruban counterparts who will help them make SITE International Conference a tremendous success, namely the Minister of Tourism & Transportation, Ing. Edison Briesen, the President & CEO of the Aruba Hotel & Tourism Association Rob Smith, De Palm Tours board member Lisette Malmberg and Gold Coast Residences General Manager Ed Malone.
