“Sing for your Supper,” at Fusion Entertains a Full House

Eagle Beach — Celebrity chef Bob Waggoner, from Charleston, North Carolina, whose specialty is cooking while laughing and having a good time, hosted a three-course dinner at Fusion, Piano Wine Bar & Restaurant, Alhambra Casino & Shops, where he cooked, exhibition style, for a full house, made up of resort guests and dignitaries.

The evening titled “Sing for Your Supper,“ also featured special guest Country singer Bonnie Bishop.

Chef Bob is a famous regional chef in his downtown Charleston showcase kitchen, where he conducts cooking classes, preparing seasonal tasting menus inspired by the farmers, fisherman, and artisans of the area.

While on vacation in Aruba Chef Bob entertained the dinner crowd at Fusion, teaching both tips and techniques to help his audience build their own confidence in the kitchen. The unique party also included great food and wine pairing courtesy of Romar Trading.

As chef Bob presented his dish on stage, diners were presented with theirs, made to order by Executive Chef Chef Paul Zijlstra and his team, at the Fusion kitchen.

The menu featured Prosciutto wrapped goat cheese with baby arugula and roasted pecans in a sherry vinaigrette and virgin pecan oil dressing as appetizer, followed by pan seared Long Island duck breast over caramelized apples and vidalia onions in a peppered port and Carolina blueberry reduction, as main course and Charleston summer berry martini, scented with pinot noir and vanilla ice cream.
