David Adkins better known as Sinbad, is pictured here between performances. The star of the eight annual Soul Beach Music Festival invited his parents, Louise and Baptist Rev. Dr Donald Adkins, from Benton Harbor, Michigan, and assorted other family members including his daughter Paige Adkins, 22, who is making her artistic debut on the island, for a spot of lunch at the Waterfront Crabhouse.
Owner Roy Leitch, an aspiring stand up comedian himself, was on hand to welcome the entertainer. “Sinbad is a master comic, on and off stage,†reports Roy who appreciated the fact the Sinbad took time from his busy schedule to introduce himself to restaurant staffers and pose for a souvenir picture. Â
Sinbad’s siblings Donna and Mark are also part of the Soul Beach Music Festival organization.Â
