Senior Housekeeping Supervisor Juanita Dorothal Cordero Celebrates Her 25th Year of Service at Caribbean Palm Village Resort

Noord — Juanita’s career at Caribbean Palm Village Resort unfolded at the housekeeping department where she started as a Room Attendant, and following a number of promotions obtained her present senior position.

Hailing from Pinel, in the Dominican Republic, Juanita came to Aruba 26 years ago, and worked for a while as a restaurant bus girl and dishwasher, until she managed to get on her feet and establish herself here, get married and enter into service at her beloved second-home, the Caribbean Palm Village Resort.

Though her husband passed away, Juanita reports coming to work with the same joy and the same enthusiasm as the day she started. Her colleagues and peers regard her as a motivated self-starter, saysInterim General Manager Astrid Muller, and she enjoys seeing the owners come back to the resort year after year with their extended family members.

In her spare time Juanita volunteers visiting at the elderly home and going to the hospital to read to bed-ridden patients.

As an employee, Juanita has received numerous extra mile awards for going above and beyond her normal duties, she was also nominated several times for Employee of the Month and was elected Employee of the Quarter on several occasions.

Described as  a conscientious, loyal, dedicated and hard working individual, Juanita always puts her job first, before personal considerations.

On the occasion of her anniversary, Board and Management congratulated Juanita on a job well done and wished her many more years of service, thanking her for her many contributions to the company.

In the picture Astrid Muller,  Juanita Dorothal, Cristina Galindo, Executive  Housekeeper and Mary Werleman, HR manager, joined Juanita for lunch this week to celebrate her career accomplishments.
