Eagle Beach — During a special lunch celebration at La Cabana Beach Resort & Casino, members of management lauded associates, supervisors and teams, nominated for exceptional performance during April, May & June of 2014.
The nominees of the month of April took center stage at the conference room and were individually praised for their dedication and loyalty by their direct supervisors. They were winner Nicolasa Ventura, Housekeeping; Luz A. Danje, Kitchen; Aristobulo Montoya, Recreations and Armando del Valle, Security. For the month of May, winner Alexandra Werleman, PBX, enjoyed public accolades as she was called forward to receive her handsome plaque among other nominees, Raymond Koolman, Recreations; Liliana Fingal, Food & Beverage; and Corazon Alincomot, Security. For the month of June winner Catherine Martinez, Recreations, proudly accepted her award as she joined Martha Nuboer, Kitchen; Marlon Clemencia, Security and Cecilia Letang, Housekeeping for a photo opportunity.
Much appreciated Lindoro Vera, Security, was proclaimed Supervisor of the Quarter praised for his various initiatives in the areas of safety and emergency medical response, with David de Cuba, accounting, as the runner up.
The selected team of the second quarter of 2014 was the resort’s creative and effective Social Committee Team, singled out for excellence, outshining Team 2-B Housekeeping, and the team of Recreations, to win top honors for the quarter.
Associates celebrating their 5th, 10th & 20th anniversaries for the second quarter of 2014 were also feted for their career choices, included Rafael Cicilia, Security, celebrating five years, Adriana Tromp and Solange Estiverne, both from Housekeeping, celebrating ten years and Ireneo Catibayan, Bell Services, Ingrid Croes and Felicia de la Rosa, Food & Beverage, and Frank Sabajo, Engineering, concluding twenty years at the resort
Ceremony emcee Pierre Kock thanked the food & Beverage department for catering an excellent gathering, and announced that the winners for Associates of the Month title and the Supervisor of the Quarter title receive a plaque, dinner for four at the Islander Grill restaurant, 100 internal award stars and $100.00 in cash, on their paycheck. Nominees receive a Certificate of Appreciation and 25 internal award stars. The winning team received a beautiful certificate and 50 internal award stars for each team member.
