Riu Palace Antillas and Riu Palace Aruba Participate in National Coastal Clean Up Campaign November 7

Riu Palace Antillas and Riu Palace Aruba participated in a special beach clean up program on Saturday, November 7 as part of the National Coastal Clean Up Campaign.  As part of the initiative, the hotels adopted a portion of the beach and its surroundings, stretching from the resorts on Palm Beach to the Amsterdam Manor Resort, located in the heart of Eagle Beach.

Assistant General Manager Vernel Atijera led a crew of energetic hotel employees from both resorts to collect debris from the relatively quiet boulevard nestled between the hotels. Additionally, Riu Palace Antillias and Riu Palace Aruba provided sandwiches and fruit to the hungry volunteers to thank them for their support.

The Aruba Hotel & Tourism Association (AHATA) and the Aruba Tourism Authority (ATA) jointly conduct National Costal Cleaning campaigns several times a year. Volunteer hotels are assigned to a stretch of the main highway and dedicate a few hours of work, as part of their social responsibility. The Riu Palace Antillas and the Riu Palace Aruba hotels earmark resources to the initiative and intend to continue the efforts.
