During a cozy and delicious luncheon celebration at the Renaissance Convention Center, the Renaissance Team of the First Quarter for 2009 was revealed.
General Manager Paul Gielen shook the winners’ hands in visible gratitude and helped present them with handsome engraved commemorative plaques, and customary envelopes.
Nominees for the Heart of the House included Ronald Humphrey Vos, Painter Engineering Department, Zulaica Tromp, Reservation Agent, Javier Mendoza, Stewarding Renaissance Convention Center and Ann Marie Williams, Landscaper.
For the Front of the House associates who distinguished themselves were Elizabeth Alcocer-Ludenas, Food & Beverage Bus Girl, Ocean Suites, Betty Verbel, Food & Beverage Waitress, Marina Hotel, Bienvenido de los Reyes, Boat Mechanic, Renaissance Private Island, Juan Oñate, Security Officer and Ricardo Sarman, Bartender L.G. Smith’s Steak & Chop House.
While blessed with excellent line associates, a number of supervisors at the resort also performed beyond expectations, earning them an award of excellence including Supervisor Susana Pazmino, Jr. Sous Chef at the Renaissance Convention Centre, Vivian J. Tromp, Food & Beverage Supervisor at the L.G. Smith’s Steak & Chop House Lounge, Jhoanel Caraballo and Manix Padron, both Security Supervisors and Moonsynia Mondesir, Front Desk Supervisor.
As manager of the first quarter Bjorn de Bruijn, proved a popular choice as he received a round of appreciative applause as the winning Landscaping Manager.
