Here to so-called kick the tires or better yet test the waters, a group of top decision-makers from the US, all certified event planners, in the meetings, incentives and conventions field, visiting the island as guests of the Aruba Hotel & Tourism Association and the Aruba Tourism Authority.
The group toured the heart of town and the Renaissance Aruba Resort, both the Beach and Marina towers then inspected the modern, state of the art Convention Center and finished the experience over delicious lunch at L.G. Smith’s Steak & Chop House.
John Grigg Director of Food & Beverage reports the dignitaries feasted on Petite Spinach Salad, followed by a Tomato Cream Soup with Fried Corn Tortilla and a Mixed Grill Combo as main course featuring NY Striploin Steak, Chicken Breast and Grouper Filet served with chimichuri, cabernet mushrooms and lemon butter sauces, over rice, mixed vegetables and sautéed mushrooms. The Dark and White Chocolate Terrine with Kahlua Sauce sealed the deal. The group was totally enamored with Renaissance.
Pictured here, unforgettable L.G. Smith’s Steak & Chop House moments, co-hosted by Director of Marketing & Sales Janine Huistra and Director of Group Sales Ariana Santiago, who awarded the guests passes for Renaissance Private Island and VIP shopper’s cards, to be used at the Renaissance Shopping Mall at their leisure.
