Almost six hundred barbeque meals were cooked and sold Sunday when RadiCare, an employee initiative, in conjunction with AMCC, Aruba Muscle Car Club, organized a super fund-raising activity on the parking lot of the Radisson Aruba Resort Casino & Spa.
On display 41 classic cars which drew a lot of attention from the general public, as members of RadiCare flipped chicken and ribs on the barbie.
The funds collected on Sunday will be donated to “Adopt An Addict,” a new foundation set up by the downtown merchants to help send some of the island’s chemically dependant individuals to treatment and rehabilitation in the Dominican Republic.
The BBQ drive was organized by the tireless Sandra Kock and Tasha Agana and received cross-departmental support for all Radisson employees, some cooking, some buying, but most importantly working together for the betterment of our community.
