The Sirocco Lounge at the Westin Aruba Resort & Casino hosted the official cocktail party announcing the resort’s popular Wine, Food & Art Festival in its IV edition, unfolding Thursday, May 22, to Saturday, May 24, 2008.
Opening night will feature the always-successful Wine & Food Tasting & Art exhibition, which will take place on Thursday from 6.00 pm to 11.00 pm in the Grand Ballroom.
The Wine & Food Tasting offers an opportunity for exquisite Wine & Food Pairing with the Westin Culinary Team and invited wineries from around the globe. Music will be provided by Daniel Aguirre’s Jazz band and the special art exhibit will feature the island’s best artists with works available for viewing and sale.
The Wine & Food Tasting is open to the public and the admission is US$35 per person, at the door.
That night, Arion Wine Company will join the event with their fine wines and with two great movie selections: A Good Year, which will be shown from 7:00 pm – 9:00 pm and Sideways, which will be screened from 9:00 – 11:00 pm.
On Friday, May 23, 2008, a Trade Fair will be organized by local and international Wine and Liquor Purveyors, in honor of their local clients. The by-invitations only sessions will take place from 10.00 am to 2.00 pm, while the art exhibit will be available for viewing and sale, all day.
That evening, the festival will be hosting Aruba Taste and Tales Cookbook dinner which will feature a special invitee, the Rosemblum winery from California. A five course dinner will be prepared by top chefs from Aruba, in a live kitchen stadium, from 7.30 pm to 11.00 pm at the Cabaret Royale. The spectacular event is open to the public at US$120 per person.
On Saturday, May 24, 2008 , while the Art exhibit will be available for viewing and sale, all day, the Final Champaign Event, from 7 pm to midnight will highlight dinner with a
Celebrity Chef Eric Scuiller, sponsored by Moet Chandon and Dom Perignon, matching the Maitre Cuisinier de France’s creations with delectable, bottomless flutes of Champagne, in collaboration with the resort’s Executive Chef Coste. Tickets for a limited number of participants are available in the hotel lobby at the festival ticket desk at US$140 per person.
