Peruvian Press Visiting One Happy Island

Palm Beach — Rex Broekman, editor The Huaraz Telegraph and news anchor at El Informativo, from Peru, is currently visiting Aruba and impressed with the excellent tourism infrastructure and exciting attractions decided to film a number of TV segments for his local news channel, Cable Andino Channel 3,  in Huaraz, his home town, population 120.000 just like Aruba, covering the history of the island, Sports, Gastronomy, Culture and Peruvian living in Aruba.

He recruited the help of his brother fitness instructor Roy Broekman who in turn recruited local film maker and movie editor Aaron Croes , Xtreme Productions Aruba, and together they lined up a great number of interesting people and gorgeous places to contribute to the raw footage which will be edited by the crew of Cable Andino in Huaraz, with five different introductions from iconic Aruba locations. Special thanks to Peruvian living on the island, Edwin, Adolfo, Roxanne, member of Parliament Marisol Lopez Tromp and the El Chalan Restaurant owners, for their cooperation with the projects.

The Huaraz Telegraph, where the materials will also be printed is a monthly English language newspaper, serving the tourist and the local population of Huaraz,  you may visit www.thehuaraztelegraph.com, for more information. Huaraz is the capital of the State of Ancash, located in the central part of the Callejon de Huaylas Valley, at the elevation of 3,050m. The city lives off  Peruvian Andes tourism, especially winter sport and adventure with many visitors from around the world practicing climbing, hiking, and snowboarding.

“Our visitors, looking at the Aruba footage might want to play beach tennis, windsurf and kite surf,” banters Rex, who enjoys Aruba’s weather and hospitality, while working on his documentary.
