The Boekhouder family congregated at the Grand Caribbean Ballroom on Friday evening to celebrate an important event, the 40th wedding anniversary of Patricia and Johannes Boekhouder. Their three grown sons, Randall, Raimy and Raidan, joined the three granddaughters Leah, Romy and Rianna for a picture opportunity with their partners, Randall’s wife Nathalie, and Raimy and Raidan’s Dawn and Solangel.
The party was graced with the presence of friends and family members hailing from as far as the Netherlands, Curacao and Bonaire.
Two bands, Papito Raphael’s and Casin Giel, who provided dance music before and after the lavish buffet dinner, prepared by the resort’s culinary team.
As customary, the Boekhouders shared delicious Bolo Preto with their guests and posed in front of the spectacular three tier red and white anniversary cake for a group photo.
Johannes, in law enforcement and Patricia in education report the key to a happy life together is patience and mutual appreciation.
