Open Home & Kitchen offers a unique dining experience

Are you ready for the newest dining experience on Aruba? Philipp & Graciela are inviting you to their home to savor the unforgettable flavors of Caribbean comfort food, paired with one of a kind service.

Graciela Real is a uniquely talented chef, who just relocated here from Curacao. In Curacao she successfully ran Landhuis Misje restaurant, which was ranked #1 on Trip Advisor under her magic spell. Read the comments on line: best ceviche, best pumpkin soup, best chicken curry, best sangria. Patrons were just crazy about her food, the ambiance and the décor of the old plantation house in West Point. Earlier this year, Graciela packed and left, making it across the pond and settling here in Aruba with her husband, a hospitality consultant, 2 lovely girls and two cute dogs.

At their home in Salina Cerca, overlooking the salt flat across the Aruba Marriott hotel Graciela started cooking for friends,  Conch Tacos with Sour Cream & Pico de Gallo, South Caribbean Salt Fish Brandade on Toasted French Bread, Baby Back Ribs, Fish Cooked in Savory Coco-Tomato Sauce, Grilled Jumbo Shrimps Tossed with Veggies and Spicy Garlic Pesto, an original Keshi Yena recipe — what she calls version #27, with Baked Pasta, Hearty Beef Stew, Raisins, Capers, Thyme, Gouda & Pecorina cheeses, and a to live for signature Oxtail Stew.

We ate, we loved every bite, then one day we said, this can’t be, no more, we can’t just come here and eat, please give us a bill, you have to open an informal eatery, so we can continue to eat like kings, but also let the rest of the world know that you are an incredibly delicious cook.

And so it was. The terrace at home now boasts three tables, and Graciela can cook for you any day, providing you make a reservation, at tel.: 630 2911. Husband Philipp will set you up with some properly chilled and graciously served wine or sangria. Daughters and dogs, on the welcoming committee, will seat and entertain you.  You won’t forget the experience! Facebook: Open Home & Kitchen
