New Coconut Trading Company at the Village on Palm Beach

A new Coconut Trading Company is now open at the Village on Palm Beach, across from the Radisson Aruba Resort Casino & Spa. The much-loved gift store first opened at the Marriott Ocean Club and became an instant hit among locals and visitors. Store owner, Boston-born, long time resident of Aruba Jodi Tobman Hagedoorn just expanded the brand’s reach by opening a new boutique at the Village on Palm Beach, with ample parking and late evening shopping hours.

The new Coconut Trading Company is beautifully decorated with elegant black & white tiles and hand painted black & white furniture. The effect is very striking as it provides a great backdrop to gifts galore. We saw ornate picture frames, elegant serving sets, very useful cheese picks and spreaders, irresistible ice buckets, bejeweled geckos, tall candle sticks, whimsical Christmas ornaments, striking accent lamps, scented candles, and specialized gifts for kids and women, including an empowering tool set, in hot pink, for the motivated do-it-yourself woman in your life. Our favorite was a series of “self-hurt” books, How to Drive Like a Maniac, How to Traumatize Your Kids, How to Procrastinate, though we can write that book ourselves. Best pick a complete manual for the hypochondriac, of Things that Might Kill You  . . . open daily from 4 p.m. to 10 p.m. at the Village on Palm Beach.
