MiraMar restaurant emerges from a complete refresh

Mr. Harold Malmberg, Principal of De Palm Corporation N.V. enjoyed cutting the ribbon at MiraMar Restaurant, on Wednesday April 25th, thereby officially re-opening the restaurant in the wake of a four-month period, as the facility was completely renovated and overhauled, representing an investment in excess of Awg 350,000.

In honor of the ribbon cutting ceremony, the company’s shareholders, all members of the Malmberg family were joined by distinguished members of the press, De Palm Tours managers and the island’s maintenance crew who worked very hard to finish the project, on time, and on budget.

Situated at the edge of the water, the restaurant received a complete seasonal facelift. Patrons entering the dining room will immediately notice the newly placed floor, a durable and attractive Vekadeck, which is a type of PVC, a recyclable material, providing anti-slip protection, in a natural marine environment.

The restaurant support beams, immersed in seawater and lending the restaurant an exquisite water view, were also replaced.  The glass walls now enjoy oversize windows which can be opened or closed depending on weather condition, overlooking an endless sky over azure blue waters.

With regards to the buffet area, it received a new beautiful look accented by black granite, which makes the presentation of the food even more dramatic. The biggest noticeable change is the new furniture made from marine grade polymer, normally used for the construction of yacht decks, with chairs and tables that are as good-looking as they are comfortable.

MiraMar restaurant is located on De Palm Private Island, on a pier suspended above sea level, jutting out into the ocean. The restaurants serves infinite food choices with an all-inclusive breakfast buffet boasting a new omelet station, and a tasty lunch buffet featuring a full BBQ menu, a pasta station, a rich and varied salad bar, cut fruit, homemade soups and an array of just-baked desserts.

MiraMar restaurant operates seven days a week from 9 am to 3 pm -and is part of De Palm Island’s all-inclusive concept.  For the upcoming Queen’s Birthday weekend, visitor may enjoy lunch at this picturesque spot.

On Monday April 30th and on Tuesday May 1st, De Palm Private Island will offer music by the PM band from 2pm to 5pm.
