Hilton Aruba, Avis / Budget / Payless Rent A Car and Dynaf are making a green area available, consisting of two parking spaces, marked green, reserved exclusively for electric vehicles, EV, at the parking lot of the Aruba Tower. The availability of a charging station at the Hilton Aruba Caribbean Resort & Casino will allow EV drivers a convenient, smart and speedy charging solution.
Electric vehicles are becoming increasingly popular on the island. With it grows the demand for easy charging solutions. In collaboration with Hilton Aruba, Avis / Budget / Payless Rent a Car and Dynaf, the first public electric vehicle charging station on Aruba has been placed at the resort, J.E. Irausquin Blvd 81.
The D-Point charging station installed offers the fastest recharge speed. Guests can simply plug their electric car into the station to charge, and then unplug to drive. The station charges up to 8x faster with the reliable, safe, and easy-to-use D-Point.
In order to promote electric driving, it is important that charging station become accessible all over the island. Residents and visitors will be tempted to try electric driving if charging becomes easy. If all hotels would facilitate charging, then rental car companies could invest more in EVs. Offering the new EV charging station is in line with the resort’s sustainability efforts, and in the innovative spirit of Hilton International. In the near future, all resort cars operated by staffers and management will be electric. This will allow Avis / Budget / Payless to grow its EV fleets in the coming years.
Dynaf is the right partner to supply charging stations, as it already has 42 available D-Points in the Caribbean. The Dynaf charging stations are fully automated, and deliver an easy payment solution for the service.
