Milano Restaurant & Lounge at South Beach Centre is now open serving dinner, light bites, fine wines and cocktails, in a trendy indoor and outdoor setting.
The Milano lounge was inaugurated last weekend and overnight gained popularity with the local hip and chic crowd.
This weekend, having conducted an elegant public tasting with a VIP list of invitees, creative Executive Chef Ricky Croes got the green light, to launch his innovative and interesting menu, and officially open the restaurant for business.
With influences spanning the Caribbean Islands, Milano Restaurant & Lounge culinary team with talented sous chef Gilbert Fleming, greatly assisted by Dyron Cornes and Lily Rodriguez-Galindo, put a new twist on fusion cuisine.
The menu is anchored in Northern Italy, but takes a nod from the many cultures that sailed through the Caribbean and influenced the flavors of the regional kitchen.
For appetizers some of the interesting pairings include Tuna & Pumpkin, which was met with much enthusiasm. Patrons dining under the stars or in the air-conditioned dining room also appreciated two other delicious combinations, Prosciutto & Mango and the Salmon and Goat Cheese.                                                                                                                                           The main courses which feature home-raised Chicken, Duck Ravioli, Black Angus Fillet Mignon, Rack of Lamb, Osso Bucco, Black Angus Rib Eye Steak, Frutti Di Mare, Caribbean Shrimp, and the totally delicious Red Snapper, are each paired with their own complementary sides including risotto, sweet potato, and pasta, flavored with their own perfectly matching sauces and garnishes, matching the chef’s “no plate alike†philosophy.
The desserts deliver deconstructed classics with an original twist on timeless recipes, including Cheese Cake, Tiramisu and Babba alla Napolitana.
With 100% young talent in the kitchen, the culinary brigade will impress you with fresh and healthy food, as the Caribbean meets the Mediterranean in the kitchen.
