Maria Victoria recognized at Caribbean Palm Village Resort

A special lunch served at Scabeche restaurant at the Caribbean Palm Village Resort was given by General Manager Astrid Muller in honor of Maria Victoria who is celebrating ten years of service at the friendly resort in Noord.

The party was attended by the President of the Board Ed Hayes, Vice President Dan Maloof and Treasurer Randy Croes, who all expressed their heartfelt gratitude for the efforts made and dedication expressed, by Maria Victoria every day.

Maria Victoria who hails from Cali, Colombia, came to Aruba 14 years ago, and worked as an outside contractor in various housekeeping departments including the former Aruba Grand, the former Allegro and the Bucuti Beach Resort, as night-cleaner. Ten years ago her career took off when she started working at Caribbean Palm Village Resort as a room-attendant, becoming a full time staff member.

Over the years Maria Victoria got to know her guests well, nurturing many mutual friendships which also include the board members pictured here, who are currently vacationing at the resort.

And her hard work paid off, as Maria Victoria recently obtained her much-awaited Dutch passport and nationality.  She loves living in Aruba, she says, and appreciates the local people who are very friendly and treat her so well, at the resort and in her neighborhood.

Married to Felipe De Jesus Jimenez, the couple enjoys the company of Jesus’24 year old son, and they are also building a home together, in which Maria Victoria hopes to practice her leisure activities, listening to music and reading!
