La Cabana Beach & Racquet Club continues to garner compliments for the food and the ambiance at Las Ramblas, its intimate seaside promenade-side restaurant.
Open last year, and graced with a lovely menu composed by executive chef Sonny Partodikromo and Food & Beverage Manager Pierre Kock, the restaurant is continuously met by enthusiastic rounds of applause.
Las Ramblas features authentic Spanish cuisine with a Catalan / Mediterranean slant. Dinner is served under a canopy of stars, in view of the beach and the gently swaying palm fronds, in a most romantic setting.
Guests may start their culinary journey with delicious Eggplant Rollatini, Grilled Scallops or Pinchitos, mini grilled beef kebabs on the list of tapas, and continue with Steamed Mussels or Escargot Bourguignon as warm appetizers. General Manager Joe Najaar introduced his favorite appetizer: diced fresh avocado topped with shrimp and drizzled with a tangy Calypso sauce!
Main courses from the grill deliver juicy steaks and fresh seafood. The highlights of the menu being the Surf & Turf, a happy marriage of grilled shrimp, scallops and a petite tenderloin, and the famed plentiful Paella, simmered in a fragrant saffron broth.
The restaurant grows its own herb garden, which is used in the seasoning of all dishes.
Las Ramblas is now open for dinner nightly, except Wednesdays & Sundays, serving Spanish and Mediterranean specialties, all cooked on an open fire grill, in front of the pool deck at La Cabana Beach & Racquet Club, overlooking Eagle Beach
