Laguna reopens with a fresh twist on casual dining.

With one of the island’s most unique and picturesque settings, Laguna at the Hilton Aruba Caribbean Resort & Casino just recently opened to reveal a complete design transformation.

The resort, the iconic Grande Dame of Palm Beach, is celebrating its 65th anniversary with a progressive resort enhancement including the addition of a new beachfront tower, upgrades to restaurants and bars and existing guest rooms.

(Resort enhancement, and the opening of the new tower in anticipated to be complete by the fall 2025.)

Included in the ambitious renovation plans, a new look for the Sunset Grille, and the Sunset Grille Bar, overlooking Palm Beach treetops and the waterfall.

During its years as a classic island vacation destination, the Hilton Aruba Caribbean Resort & Casino underwent regular seasonal refreshes which account for its evergreen appeal and popularity as Aruba’s most loved resort.

While the Aruba Tower and the Sunset Grille are in the capable hands of architects and interior designers, Laguna has taken over the heart and soul of food service at the resort. Popular with locals and tourists, famous for congenial service, the restaurant is open for breakfast from 7am to 11am, then dinner from 5:30pm, until the kitchen closes at 10:30pm.

Laguna’s famous terrace is widely recognized as an excellent breakfast setting. Patrons may pick from a selection of favorite dishes, on the a la carte menu, including tropical acai bowls, breakfast wraps and more, or spoil themselves with a bountiful breakfast including sunrise cocktails, mocktails, and fresh fruit smoothies. The never-ending buffet features cut fruit, freshly baked bread, and cereals, as well as warm bites and made-to-order eggs and omelets. The Healthy Corner delivers vegan and vegetarian specialties.

While breakfast on the cheerful terrace overlooking the lazy river and the coy pond is a favorite among visitors, locals appreciate the air-conditioned dining room, now meticulously styled with 1950s and 1960s retro touches. The bold, contrasting checkered floor tile colors, in ochre, black and green, the artistic wallpaper, the louvered panels, the vivid and stunning various shades of green paint – Laguna’s interiors are not shy, the space has been given a trendy meticulous makeover, inspired by sunshine and gardens, evoking the feelings of warmth, comfort and connection to nature.

The focal point of the dining room is now an impressive bar, well stocked with a wide array of spirits, mixers, fresh garnishes, famous wines, local and imported beers, and quality glassware, where the resident mixologist shakes a variety of premium cocktails, serving wines by the glass and by the bottle.

The dinner menu at Laguna offers a well-rounded culinary journey. Patrons coming off the beach, may enjoy sandwiches and burgers, those wishing to dine leisurely may indulge their taste buds with timeless classics: Short Rib, Pan Fried Grouper, and a selection of beloved Sunset Grille steaks and chops, served with chimichurri, Bearnaise or red wine sauce, paired with a collection of delicious sides. Chef’s authentic homemade Beef Lasagna, is a must try. Other menu items including the Onion Soup, the Lobster Bisque, the Steakhouse Wedge, the Crab Cakes, and Beef Carpaccio will uphold the reputation of the Sunset Grille, until it reopens.

Dinner at Laguna in the bright and friendly air-conditioned dining room, or on the tropical deck, offers 25% discount to locals.
