The Sunshine Department of La Cabana Beach and Racquet Club concluded its housekeeping week with a morning of celebration, games and a fun raffle.
General Manager Joe Najjar opened the morning’s event by thanking his crew for their hard work and for their eternal smiles.
He continued by sharing a poem, in Spanish, illustrating the importance of taking care of the resort’s guests. The poem, when loosely translated states the following: “A customer is the most important visitor on our premises; he is not dependent on us. We are dependent on him. He is not an interruption in our work. He is the purpose of it. He is not an outsider in our business. He is part of it. We are not doing him a favor by serving him. He is doing us a favor by giving us an opportunity to do so.”
Najjar continued saying that as the resort is going through major room renovations, all rooms will be beautiful in the very near future, and the focus should switch to keeping up the product and continuously raising the bar on guest satisfaction scores, which the resort is famous for.
His assistant Jessica Franken also thanked the Sunshine Department stating that all changes bring renewal, and a chance for growth, and that the current room renovations signal beautification and improvements. “Change is an opportunity,” she said, “we must always focus on positive enhancements.”
The morning festivity was organized by Tessely Koolman, Director of Human Resources,
