La Cabana’s Social Committee, invites you to attend the National Day festivities

Dia di Hymno & Bandera, Aruba’s national Flag & Anthem day will be celebrated at La Cabana Beach & Racquet Club as a patriotic event, hosted by General Manager Joe Najjar, the executive team, the department heads and all associates.

The focus will be on Aruba’s culture, with two mega events in the planning, a private opening ceremony held in-house on Monday with all associates in attendance and a public happening on Tuesday March 16th, from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. held on the pool deck of the resort design to attract locals and visitors.

Titled, Aruba — Our Pride and Treasure, the event on Tuesday will include a special happy hour with OREO & CLAUDIUS PHILLIPS, commenced with the raising of the flag, the singing of Aruba’s national anthem by Hilyann Croes, and an abundance of music and dance with Caha di Orgel “Nos Ambiente,” and Nelson Sprock, the Mini Chaz Dancers, child-singer Jairee Oduber, the Youth Chaz Dancers, and the Folkloric dance group of Santa Cruz.

The pool deck fiesta will offer various food stands featuring La Cabana’s legendary “Bai Plat” Seafood Chowder, and carni stobá, the equally famous beef stew;  pickled onions, delicious frekedel snacks, pan bati and fried plantain, perfectly grilled blood sausage, and the best stewed goat under the sun, served with funchi and fried plantain!

The dessert stand will feature local cake, and traditional tert, cocada, pansuiker, dushi di lechi and more. Naturally the Pata Pata bar will mix Aruba’s special cocktails at very low prices, for the duration of the event. Art & Crafts and souvenirs, will rounds up the delightful national experience at La Cabana Beach & Racquet Club, to which you are all invited!
