agle Beach — During a special lunch celebration at La Cabana Beach Resort & Casino, members of management lauded associates, supervisors and teams, nominated for exceptional performance during July, August & September of 2014.
One by one, nominees took center stage at the conference room and were individually praised for their dedication and loyalty by their direct supervisors. Then the winner was announced for July 2014, from Engineering, Edgar Garcia; for August from Security, Jaime Pamintuan and for September from Recreations, Wendy Dorcas. The three winners enjoyed public accolades as they were presented with a handsome plaque among other associate of the month nominees, posing for a photo opportunity.
Much appreciated Amarildo Bermudes, Food & Beverage, was proclaimed Supervisor of the Quarter praised for his various initiatives in the customer service area of his department.
The selected team of the second quarter of 2014 became the resort’s talented and driven Engineering Team, singled out for excellence, outshining other nominated teams.
The gathering also acknowledged associates celebrating their 5th, 10th, 15th & 20th anniversaries in the third quarter of 2014. They were also feted for their career choices, including Marlon Clemencia, Security; Francis Geerman, Security and Minerva Hayes, Housekeeping, celebrating five years. Wendy Dorcas, Recreations, celebrating ten years. Cielo Orozco, Housekeeping, Nixon Castillo, Recreations, Jorge Mestanza, Housekeeping, Maritza Nuñez, Housekeeping, and Aristobulo Montoya, Recreations, celebrating fifteen years. Manuel Ramos, Engineering, Maria Maduro, Kitchen, Desiree Henriquez, Owner Services, Carlos Ramirez, Food & Beverage, and Luis Gutierrez, Engineering, celebrating twenty years.
Ceremony emcee Aichel Lynch thanked the food & Beverage department for catering an excellent gathering, making all the announcement with ease and charisma. Winners of Associates of the Month title and Supervisor of the Quarter title receive a plaque, dinner for four at the Islander Grill restaurant, 100 internal award stars and $100.00 in cash, on their paycheck. Nominees receive a Certificate of Appreciation and 25 internal award stars. The winning team received a beautiful certificate and 50 internal award stars for each team member.
