Noord — An informal morning gathering over snacks and refreshments marked the election of the Employee of the 3rd quarter at Caribbean Palm Beach Resort. The always phenomenal Kenja Howell landed the top award by virtue of being cooperative, loyal, helpful and always prepared to go above and beyond the call of duty.
Also nominated Jean Philomon, who just concluded fifteen years of service at the resort, Juanita Dorothal, and Rakeshkoemar Soekhi both of the housekeeping department, Cedric Tromp a member of maintenance and Mislady Fingal of the activities department.
Interim General Manager Astrid Muller presented the award to Kenjah and the certificates of merit to the runner ups thanking them all for the outstanding job they do at her resort.
The Extra Mile award was next, recognizing employees who truly applied themselves during the quarter. The list this time was especially long since the resort undertook a number of projects which required helping hands, and those became easily available when many members of housekeeping and maintenance volunteered to go the extra mile. The list included Carlo Henao, Jean Merisier, Clifford Tromp, Gregory Sanchez, Richard Webb, Juanita Dorothal, Elsa Croes, Janet Brinkmann, Janeth Herrera. Misladys Sarmiento and Francis Kelly. Others lauded with the Extra Mile award included Sadia Futa for her excellent social media contributions, George Irausquin and Hyacintho Henriquez for sprucing up the gardens nicely, and Marilina Kuiperi for keeping up with the heavy demand for rooms in the Latin market. Activities specialist Misladys Sarmiento was also acknowledged for the terrific job she does entertaining guests and lending a willing helping hand to anyone who asks.
