John Kroner passed away on Saturday of a massive heart attack. His funeral took place on Tuesday in NY at Riverside Memorial Chapel, followed by his interment in NJ at the Mt. Lebanon Cemetery. John was survived by his partner Jeff Martin and their son Marcus, his Mother, Jean, and sister, Laurie.
His friends in Aruba are shocked and saddened by the news. John’s talents, generosity and kindness will be remembered forever.
John Kroner and his partner Jeff Martin considered Aruba their second home in the ‘80s, as they produced the shows at the Aladdin Theater, Alhambra Casino, for Divi Resorts, creating Genie, Rock Party, Masquerade & Masquerade at the Movies, a new form of entertainment in Aruba that has never to date been topped or replicated.
Lenie Jeandor who managed the theater for their production company, Martin & Kroner, has maintained an excellence relationship with John who helped her enroll and successfully graduate a stage manager course on Broadway.
John was last in Aruba in November 09, and reconnected with all his friends, who will miss his spirit and the joy he spread around.
John was active in the theater on Broadway creating the music for several successful shows and just recently co-produced Stars Sing to Raise Funds and Inspire Children, as a benefit for his son’s school. May John rest in peace!
