The first quarter awards at the Radisson Aruba Resort Casino & Spa unfolded in the Grand Caribbean Ballroom where sumptuous lunch was served to complement the festive award ceremony conducted by the department of Human Resources. General Manager Willem Plegt thanked his team for their support in his opening remarks, reiterating his mission to continuously make small yet significant improvements, to maintain the resort’s high guest-satisfaction scores and impressive occupancy. June has been a stellar month, he said, and July is following that no-lull trend. To conclude his address, Plegt urged the associates to also take some time off to refresh and spend time with their families this summer, so that they come back recharged and renewed.
Among colleagues who received a certificate of recognition for their performance during the first quarter of the year was Mercedes Rosario, from the Food & Beverage Department who takes charge of breakfast at the Plaza Club, expertly making breakfast every day for Gold Membership patrons as the resort’s Culinary Ambassador. Margarita de Vries from the Accounting Department was lauded for her ever-ready willingness to help, delivering positive energy and great results. Rosemarie Saint Felix from the Housekeeping Department was recognized for adhering and maintaining high standards and for caring to the resort’s VIP rooms with great efficiency.
