Housekeeping Week Celebration at the resort was a joyous event filled with appreciation, laughter, and camaraderie. The festivities kicked off with an elegant American breakfast in the ballroom accompanied by a heartfelt blessing of the day and of the department, setting the tone for a week of gratitude and unity.
Members of the Executive Committee and Housekeeping Manager Cristina Galindo delivered inspiring speeches expressing their gratitude for the hard work and dedication of the entire Housekeeping Team. Their words resonated deeply within everyone present, as they emphasized the importance of teamwork and the delivery of professional excellence.
A highlight of the celebration was a special guest speaker, Giancarla Van der Biezen from the HBN Church. She provided a spiritual perspective on the value of service and hospitality, touching the hearts of all attendees.
The week also featured a Team Building Conference led by the dynamic Belkis Moreu. Through interactive activities and discussions, the housekeeping team strengthened their bonds and learned valuable lessons about collaboration and communication.
Laughter and fun were in abundance as Tyson Croes hosted a series of entertaining games with exciting prizes up for grabs. Not only did these activities bring out the competitive spirit in the team, but they also created lasting memories and photographs.
The celebration reached its peak during the Road Jam Party Bus excursion, featuring the lively sounds of the onboard Calipso King band. The trip, in a festive atmosphere, had everyone dancing and singing along.
As Housekeeping Week came to a close, an Award Lunch was held to recognize and reward excellence. Surprise prizes were given to the winners of the Best Practices and 7 Habits of Hospitality awards, demonstrating La Cabana’s commitment to recognizing and appreciating outstanding contributions.
The week ended on a high note with karaoke themed “Es Viernes y el cuerpo lo sabe”, where everyone could sing their hearts out to note the end of a memorable Housekeeping Week, until the next one in 2024.
