Housekeeping Week Celebrated at Caribbean Palm Village Resort

Noord – The Caribbean Palm Village Resort celebrated International Housekeeping Week, September 13th to 19th, with a slew of activities designed to entertain, reward and distinguish members of that hard working department. International Housekeeping Week, IEHA, is celebrated worldwide since 1981, as one week is set aside for all to focus attention and recognition on the professional housekeepers working in hotels, resorts and other public facilities, maintaining a cleaner, safer, healthier environment for us all each and every day.
At Caribbean Palm Village Resort the week started with a religious mass service after which some hilarious sport competitions were staged on the tennis court. Later in the week bingo was hosted featuring many prizes. Other activities included a fun beer chugging contest, a Karaoke show-down and a Zumba dance exercise session with Mislady Fingal, followed by a lecture about Environmental Safety and a session with the local BOB Foundation regarding breast cancer. An afternoon with the White and Yellow Cross, Wit Gele Kruis, for a health check, concluded the varied and action packed week.
Seen in our photos, the Olympic games, Bingo, Beer contest with winner Janeth Herrera, and other winners Jael Kock, Miladys Sarmiento, Obdalis Farro, and Magalis Richardson.
