An elegant evening was offered by Gianni’s Restaurant to the island concierges on Halloween night. In gratitude for their on-going support of the famed Italian restaurant, the concierges were offered an opportunity to sample the delicious cuisine as paired with appropriate Italian wine.
The evening took off on the terrace where the VIP guests enjoyed a flute of Prosecco by Santa Margherita. The restaurant staff was all dressed up in Halloween costumes entertaining guests with their spectacular outfits.
As the concierges relaxed on the terrace the chefs busily prepared an eight-course tasting feast in their honor, featuring the restaurant specialties, in lovely presentations.
On the menu Caesar Salad served on a parmesan reggiano crisp followed by Stuffed Artichoke flavored with olive oil and garlic both paired with well-chilled Pinot Grigio, Santa Margherita. The Filet Mignon with Mushrooms was served with a glass of Cabernet Sauvignon, while the Gnocchi Alfredo was complemented by Chardonnay, both by Santa Margherita.
Braised Ribeye Pizzaiola with risotto funghi porcini and parmesan reggiano was matched with Banfi Centine, while the Seabass with Vanilla Saffron Sauce teamed up with Chardonnay, the Linguini Frutti di Mare al cartocho, joined the Banfi Chianti Classico Riserva, while the Torrone for dessert, coupled with sparkling Rosa Regale red, presenting the perfect sweet ending to a true culinary experience.
