Palm Beach – The charming lounge at the Alhambra Casino & Shops has just been recognized as one of the best establishments on the island, as it was awarded a Certificate of Excellence by Trip Advisor, one of the world’s largest travel sites.
The continuous efforts made by Fusion’s team and the consistency in preparing and presenting exceptionally high-quality tapas, dinner specials and cocktails combined with professional and personalized service earned Fusion its important first international recognition.
The Trip Advisor® Certificate of Excellence honors top-rated lodging businesses, restaurants and attractions, as reviewed by travelers on the world’s largest travel site. To qualify, these businesses must maintain an average rating of four or higher out of a possible five, as reviewed by travelers on the site. Additional criteria include volume of reviews and how recently they have been submitted by Trip Advisor travelers. The accolade is extended to qualifying businesses worldwide.
In turn, Fusion would like to thank all those wonderful clients who commented and rated the lounge on line, and made it possible for the Tapas, Wine and Piano Bar to achieve this important milestone.
Fusion, a stylish favorite island hangout, serves hand-crafted cocktails and fine wines by the glass. It just recently put together a delicious fast and satisfying menu of entrees, as well as an assortment of hot and cold tapas, which is available all hours of the night.
French-born Executive chef Gerard Coste created the menu with late-night-owls in mind offering a piping hot Onion Soup, chilled Caesar Salad, crisp Fish and Chips, and a savory Veal Milanese, in addition to a classic US Rib Eye Steak, generous portions of Vegetarian Lasagna and hearty Spanish Paella, all cooked a la minute and served with French fries, and appropriate sauces and condiments.
Those who wish to snack instead of feasting on plentiful platters, may order off the cold tapas menu which includes Salmon Bruschetta, Asian Style Shrimp Cocktail, Assorted Cheeses on an attractive platter, a Prosciutto Platter, a Charcuterie Tray loaded with Italian cold cuts, creamy Mediterranean dips such as humus, tzaziki and olive tapenade, all served with just-baked pita or warm mini baguettes.
The hot tapas menu includes Vineyard Snails, Mini Chorizos, Southwest Eggrolls, Quessadillas, Garlic Shrimp with Tomato & Basil, Beef Churrasco with Chimichurri Sauce, and assorted party platters with combination of all of the above.
The lounge also serves sweet endings with memorable desserts such as Chocolate Brownie with vanilla ice cream, Crème Brulee, and Fusion Crepe, filled with vanilla ice cream and chocolate sauce, among them.
The place has an excellent vibe and with the complete food menu, guests may linger longer, listening to live music, popping a bottle of champagne open or sipping fine wine. With an extensive selection of premium Vodkas, Scotches and Tequilas, Fusion is true to its name, delivering a union of fun elements, against a beautifully-appointed backdrop.
Food & Beverage Manager Marrit Fleur reports that live entertainment is offered every day from 8pm to 11pm, including Monday and Friday, pianist and vocalist Roel de Vries, Tuesday and Saturday, pianist Angelo Kock accompanied by vocalist Amy Sorinio. On Wednesday, the Fusion Band takes center stage and on Thursday and Sunday, heartthrob Angelo Koolman sings and strums his guitar.
